Accept Jesus

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the "way, the truth, and the life" and that "no man come to the Father, except by me".

Accepting Jesus is acknowledging what He did on the cross by paying the cost of your sin. God's only Son who was "without spot" of sin, died for you. God and Jesus knew that this had to be done before the foundation of the world was set. He suffered, bled, and died for each one of your sins.

When Jesus died for your sin, He also defeated death. He was raised from death 3 days later, and was seen by hundreds of people. Afterward, He ascended to the Father's right hand, where He waits to return for those that accept Him and accept His sacrifice as payment for our sin. When Jesus ascended He left for us a comforter and friend, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is there to guide, direct us, and interpret our prayers to the Father. So no prayer is too small or not fancy enough!

Once you accept the gift salvation through Jesus Christ, we must understand that there is no way to earn salvation or God's love. There is no amount of good you can do, but we are called to live a Christ-like life. God loves you enough to plan all this before He even created the world. It is a bill that's already been paid. We have that free gift (if we choose to accept it), and try our best to live a life pleasing to God, truly repenting for any mistakes along the way.

Also it's important to create a relationship with God through Christ, so that He can call us a "good and faithful servant" and so that we don't have to ever hear the words "I never knew you". Once this life is over for us, we have 2 choices, eternal life with God, or eternal damnation separate from God. That free gift is free and paid, but we have to accept the gift.

Jesus is coming for those who accept and love Him and those He knows. If you need help with accepting Jesus in your life, please feel free to reach out or come visit us and we would love to help!

2. Repent

Repent of your sin. This means any time you sin, you truly repent and ask God (through Jesus' sacrifice) to forgive you.

3. Relationship

Read God's Word regularly. Talk to God via prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to help you establish relationship.

4. Baptism/Communion

Jesus commanded us to do these things as an outward showing of our belief.
